While is could very well be standard MSFT wonkiness, I am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue? Is there something in the conversion process that could have made it so the VM wouldn't accept the product key/screwed up activation? Is this VM image just outdated and broken? Issue with Snow Leopard (although my XP image works fine)? Thought I would ask before I go downloading/buring install media and re-trying the Product Key Lottery. I went round and round with MSFT support on this and basically they don't support trial software so they were of no help other than telling me to "download it again and maybe you'll get lucky with the next key thats generate". It basically refuses to take the product key and claims its invalid. However I can't get it to use the trial product key I got from registering it with MSFT.
The conversion went fine and the VM now works with Fusion.

I am trying to use the Windows Server 2003 Trial edition that is posted in the VMware "virtual appliance mart" with Fusion 2.0.5 on Mac OS X 10.6.
